Causal Relations and Abraham’s Dilemma: a Qur’anic Perspective

Abraham’s Dilemma is the conjunction of three jointly inconsistent propositions: (i) God’s commands are never morally wrong, (ii) God has commanded Abraham to kill his innocent son, and (iii) killing people wrong. Drawing on an overlooked point from Qur’an regarding content command as well a conceptual analysis intentional action, this paper proposes novel solution dilemma by discarding proposition in new way. Current approaches rejecting tend appeal epistemic failure side Abraham. In my approach, which draws so-called accordion effect interpreted such way that not son nor tried do so, although challenging difficult nature test thus status ‘father faith’ retained.
